Gene D. Plumber: Hoboken LEGEND Gene Turonis delights audiences with his eclectic collection of folk, country and Tin Pan Alley tunes, his tasty finger pickin’ guitar style, homespun vocals and whistling expertise. Gene coined the phrase “Tex-Mex-abilly” to describe his unique sound. New album coming soon.

Johnny Markowski, an accomplished drummer, can be found playing his kit these days with The New Riders of the Purple Sage. When not on the road with The NRPS, Johnny works with his band, Stir Fried, and plays with various artists in many styles. Songwriting is also in his blood. His father, Thomas Jefferson Kaye, was a legendary producer and songwriter in the 1960s and 1970s. Markowski’s band, Stir Fried, known for its blend of swamp groove, psychedelic improvisational music performs signature versions of Kaye masterpieces in addition to Markowski originals. The group has recorded and performed with the likes of Dr. John, Vassar Clements (Old & In The Way), Commander Cody, Buddy Cage (NRPS), Jo Jo Herman (Widespread Panic), Bernie Worrell (P Funk, Talking Heads), Derek Trucks (Allman Bros. Band) and Tony Trischka. Recently Jambands.com held a contest for the most impressive drummer/percussionist, and after two weeks of voting Markowskiwon hands down, beating out some pretty heavy competition

Christine Santelli Grammy Nominated Songwriter, Christine Santelli has been on the NYC music scene for more than 2 decades. She has toured around the world and has released 9 CD’s over her career. Her Songwriting has caught the attention of Soul R&B singer Bettye LaVette, who has recorded two of Santelli’s songs on her last two albums “Step Away” on 2015 release “Worthy” and “Old” 2013 release “More Thankful More Thoughtful. Santelli’s most recent EP, “Limelight ‘69”was chosen 2013 EP of the Year by Deep Roots Magazine. “ The beauty of Limelight ’69 is that you don’t have to buy any of your faithful friend and narrator’s cockamamie ideas about its narrative arc but can rather enjoy the tunes here as unconnected short stories—literate, engaging, darkly humorous in spots, certainly unabashedly romantic by the time the curtain comes down—and appreciate a fine songwriter at the top of her game.” Deep Roots Magazine
